Bartender Appreciation Day – December 3

An extra tip for the bartender is customary today if you can swing it. This holiday was created by famous tattoo artist, Sailor Jerry, to honor our hard-working bartenders.

Cocktail Du Jour – Sailor Jerry’s Banana Daquiri

Sailor Jerry also created his own spiced rum. Here’s one of his signature drinks:

  • 2 oz rum (Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum if available)
  • 1 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • ½ oz simple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon banana puree
  • 1 pinch of salt

 

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake for 30 seconds. Pour into a cocktail glass over crushed iced. Garnish with a lime wheel and paper umbrella.

 

Mocktail Du Jour Sailor Jerry’s Banana Daquiri Mocktail

  • 2 oz Ritual Zero Proof Rum
  • 1 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • ½ oz simple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon banana puree
  • 1 pinch of salt

 

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake for 30 seconds. Pour into a cocktail glass over crushed iced. Garnish with a lime wheel and paper umbrella.
