Holiday: Peter Weyland Day
Peter Weyland was born on this day in 1990 in Mumbai, India to his mother, a Professor of Comparative Mythology, and his father, an engineer. He was granted multiple patents by the age of 14, one for a synthetic trachea constructed of synthetical stem cells. In 2012, at the age of 22 he founded Weyland Corporation. In 2015, the company’s invention of a perpetual solar energy source that moved in Earth’s orbital plane with an axial tilt, made him his first billion dollars. In 2016, Weyland Corp was able to generate a localized synthetic atmosphere above the Earth’s polar ice caps using a precursor to the atmospheric processor that Peter had designed, ending the global warming crisis. Weyland earned a Nobel Prize in Medicine for his cancer cure in 2023 and weeks later during a TedTalk on February 28th, 2023, he announced the objective of Weyland Corporation that would come to define the company over the next five decades: to Build Better Worlds. By 2027, through space missions and acquired NASA missions, Weyland Corp had discovered more than 6,546 planets that were compatible with human life.
In January 2024, Weyland completed their first android prototype that Peter named “David,” the name he had planned to give his own son. In 2094, at the age of 103, Peter Weyland snuck aboard the USCSS Prometheus on a mission he had funded to find what he believed to be the creators, or “the engineers,” that were responsible for birthing the human race. - 2 oz coconut rum
- 3 oz pineapple juice
- 2 oz melon liqueur
Rim rocks glass with sugar. Add ingredients to cocktail shaker with ice and shake for 30 seconds. Strain into glass with ice. Garnish with a cherry.
Mocktail Du Jour – Alien Secretion Mocktail
- 2 oz coconut water
- 3 oz pineapple juice
- 2 oz Amoretti Honeydew Mellon Syrup
